Reaching youths living on the streets of Nigeria

That the Nigerian youth is in crisis is an underestimated social problem whose magnitude is reflected by the sheer number of youths involved, its dynamics and diversities and the significant neglect accorded it by various governments in the socio-political history of Nigeria.

We are Our brothers keeper

Our organization works to increase awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the nation. We are interested in increasing long-term sustainability through grants and business development that creates jobs and robust commerce in disenfranchised areas. We encourage the public to join the transwalk charity foundation in support of the charities featured on our website.

NO MORE POVERTY does not accept donations, but rather encourages support be offered directly to the respective charities.

Ideas For Fundraising Events

1 - Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner - Food is always a good fundraiser.
2 - Car Wash - Car loving people love clean cars, and love to support you this way. Pick a central location with high car traffic.
3 - Recycled Bottle - Raise money and do good for the environment.
4 - Book Sale - People are sure to donate books they are done reading.Other people are sure to buy them as a good read and for good cause.
5 - Garage Sale - Help people clear out "stuff" from their attic or garage. Your group picks a central location to hold your fundraising lawn sale.
If an event fundraiser seems like a lot of work, you're right.

Poverty In Nigeria

An investigative piece to the shocking level of poverty in one of Nigeria's most luxurious residential districts, less than 4 kilometres from the Presidential Villa. The story juxtaposes the poverty and right to human dignity, and the failure of the Nigerian government to effectively respond to the needs of the most vulnerable in the society. The little girl in the story represents the millions of deprived kids who have been robbed of their childhood due to poverty.
